As a Certified Life Coach, I have chosen to focus my practice strictly on the topic of "Empowerment". The reason I am so passionate about empowerment is because from my own life experience I have found that only when I am empowered, am I truly in the most powerful state to accomplish whatever I want for myself. As a coach/teacher it is not my place to tell you what to do, rather to inspire you with some basic empowerment tools which I have identified as the most essential in creating the life that you want.

So what is the life you want?
I bet I know the answer… “I’m not even sure what I want.”

To be honest, if you already have an idea of what life coaching is, I am not typical. My style is a bit different. Although I am certified, I mainly use the Life Coach title more as a way for people to understand basically what I do. While many life coaches help you to be accountable in order to accomplish your goals, my coaching is unique in that I primarily help people who are in their beginning stages of personal growth—meaning before they even know what they want.

From my experience in talking to hundreds of you, I have found that a great percentage of people know they are uncomfortable with something in their lives, but they don’t know why, much less know how to explain what it is they do want. I have found a common thread in where that stems. You’ve lost sight of your own power and turned your focus outward to seek happiness. But you won’t find your happiness outside of yourself. You have it within you. As we go through our sessions, I coach you to the point where you can identify that happiness (empowerment) within yourself.

I help guide you to the place where you are reminded about yourself and all the power you already have within. Once you recall where that power is inside of you, then you will have a greater understanding of what you want and how to get it.

For me, this is the point I become truly inspired by my clients. After just a few sessions, they often have a glow they didn’t have in our first session together. They are ready to face the world with a new sense of empowerment and the knowledge that they can create the life they now know they want!

Throughout my life (which I refer to as my journey) I have gone through several significant transitions—some enjoyable and some not so much. During one of my more painful transitions, as like many of us do, I came to a point when I seriously began asking God, “What am I doing here?”, “Why are these things happening to me?” and “What am I supposed to be doing about it all?”

In a personal quest for answers since then, I have been guided through an emotional transformation which led me to believe that there truly is a higher soul purpose for being here, that everything happens for a Divine reason and that there certainly is something I could do about it all.

Yes, these answers really came when I began asking the questions, not immediately obvious, but they definitely came. I read the most thought-provoking books, as well as participated in life-changing seminars, retreats and other wonderfully inspiring workshops. During this personal inward search, I began to see my life experiences symbolically, rather than personally or accidental. And from this new view, I was finally able to release the long-held belief that I was simply a victim of circumstances. This was such a major turning point! Now, although I know my spiritual life lessons continue, I am able to live with an emotional freedom that I had never previously experienced in this lifetime.

For Your Journey Inspirational Center

Since experiencing such a profound discovery for myself, I also realized my true purpose includes dedicating part of my journey to helping others seek answers to their own questions. I strongly believe that the more people understand their purpose with clarity, for their own journey, the more humanity as a whole will benefit. Thus, my idea of For Your Journey was born.

I left my 14-year high tech financial analyst career in 2003 to create For Your Journey Inspirational Center. It was a place for people seeking inspiration, self-empowerment and purpose in their own journey. It was a bookstore and a gift shop, including a space where I offered yoga classes and a variety of inspirational workshops. It was my inspired intention that helped me create the beautiful and peaceful space so that others could come visit, shop and seek inspiration, and it was my to honor have brought it into the world.

The journey to coaching and teaching Empowerment Essentials

After two years of meeting so many of you who were seeking more personalized guidance due to your frustrated feelings that something was still missing from your already full lives (similar to my own situation a few years back), I decided to create a class series with some basic tools intended to help people become inspired to create the life they really want versus the full life of responsibilities they believe they are supposed to have.

Since then, teaching has become my passion. So, in order to live what I teach and do only what I love, I decided to close the retail side of my business in October 2005 and I now devote my time to my own unique inspiration-style coaching/teaching of the empowerment topics that I believe to be the most essential in living a self-empowered life.

So this is what I've been doing since 2006. The journey continues of course, but I am enjoying myself and wouldn't have it any other way!

Most months I get a chance to write about a lesson I learned or an inspiration that came through me as a result of my life experiences. I've decided to archive them for you because as I have realized in my own life, when I need to hear something, synchronicity seems to bring just the right thing to me. Hopefully there is something here for you today, because as I always mention, my intention behind sharing so much of my journey is to inspire you to become empowered on your own journey.
